Art – curriculum information

Our vision, at Broadacre, is to create artists of the future. We aim to provide all children with the passion, knowledge and skills needed to show creativity and expression across a range of art mediums.

We will provide all pupils with the time, support and encouragement to explore art in many forms. All children will cover a variety of units that allow them to explore all areas of art. We aim offer pupils visits to local galleries and richer experiences so that they can understand and celebrate how the arts have developed over time. We will celebrate and share children’s artistic work with our school community and beyond through displays and social media.

As artists, children at Broadacre will:

  • explore the work of both local and international artists.
  • develop the knowledge and skills needed to become confident artists.
  • be able to produce detailed and accurate art work across a variety of mediums.
