Computing – curriculum information

Our vision, at Broadacre, is to inspire and motivate children to use computers and other technology in a safe and efficient way. We aim to encourage a love for computing and to stimulate and challenge children to become competent coders. We believe that all children should experience rich computing learning experiences that will enable them to transfer vital skills to home life. We will provide all pupils with the life skills to code and evaluate digital programming safely.

Children at Broadacre will:

  • use skills to safely use technology to problem solve, become effective programmers and develop coding skills.
  • be taught how to use technology respectfully
  • write programmes and be exposed to spreadsheets, documents and emails.

Through the Purple Mash software, the children will be provided with a progressive computing curriculum, equipping children with key technology skills.
