Curriculum aims

Broadacre Primary School is a key part of the local community and we strive to support and challenge every child, through partnership work with the wider community, to be the best they can be.

At Broadacre, we understand the importance of the basic skills of reading, writing and mathematical skills. Exciting and engaging high-quality texts provide stimulus and context for the acquisition of these basic skills across all subjects. Through mastery maths principles, pupils develop a deep and rich understanding of the number system and methods of calculation.

The curriculum at Broadacre is knowledge-based and challenging curricular goals allow pupils to apply and demonstrate the knowledge they have acquired throughout their time at school.

We understand that we have the privilege and opportunity to shape future citizens and leaders. Fundamental British values and spiritual, moral, social and cultural understanding are woven through our curriculum to enable pupils to be tolerant, respectful and well-rounded global citizens of 21st Century Britain.

If parents/carers wish to find out more about the curriculum offer at Broadacre, we invite them to contact the school.
